Additional learning support
We ensure students can continue their education even when they are away from their regular school. Our team works closely with medical and allied health professionals to understand each student’s physical, mental, social, emotional, and learning needs. We use the four key areas from the NCCD — learning, social/emotional, sensory, and physical, to guide our support.
Support that fits your child's needs
Additional learning support can include:
- Ensuring every student learns in a safe, positive environment where their voice is heard and valued.
- Upholding our core values of Care, Connection and Continuity in everything we do.
- Collaborating with families, medical teams, and schools to develop the best learning and support plans
- Modification and adjustment to curriculum and program delivered to the students
- Facilitating strong social and academic connections for students during hospital stays
- Providing tailored programs to help high potential and gifted students with their advanced learning needs
Adjustments are planned with parents and carers. They are reviewed regularly and changed when needed. If you think your child may need extra help, contact us.
