High potential and gifted education

Some students learn faster and more easily than others. These students may shine in creativity, thinking, leadership or sport.

At our school, we recognise and nurture these strengths early. We support advanced learners with great lessons and programs to help them grow and thrive.

Tailored learning support

Teachers respond to each student’s ability by providing extra challenges and extension activities to keep learning exciting and engaging.

• We foster positive relationships with families and communities to support all students to reach their potential.
• Our targeted support helps students to build confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed.
• We provide adjustments to ensure high potential and gifted students with disability can participate in learning experiences on the same basis as students without disability.
• Our school partners with other schools to deliver teaching and learning experiences and opportunities for all students to develop their potential in all domains: creative, intellectual, physical and social-emotional.

What is high potential and gifted education?

High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.

We do this through:
